Save time and improve your research

Reference Managing, Copyright and Bibliometrics for PhD students

Learning objectives This is an academic library course that will improve your skills in performing systematic searches for information, data and literature. It will give you an introduction to tools for managing references and to produce data management plans. There will be a lecture about the Danish copyright rules and you will become more familiar with the most relevant indicators within the field of bibliometrics and impact. You will also get to know about different types of open access publishing and how to get a broader outreach with your publications and academic activities. This course will enable you to become a better researcher at the University of Copenhagen. 

  • Search strategies for scholarly information resources
  • Tools for handling scholarly information, i.e. reference management
  • Open access, copyright and data management plans
  • Research registration, bibliometrics and impact

Language, Form and ECTS English, Lectures and discussion, 160 page curriculum literature and exercises giving 1 ECTS.

Registration and a note on the participants: The course is targeted PhD Students from the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, Law and Theology at UCPH. Max. 35 persons on each course – first come, first served. Registration no later than April 23rd, 2018. Please register and read more via this link

Coffee/tea and a sandwich will be provided.

Please note: This is a generic course. This means that the course is reserved for PhD students at the PhD Schools of Humanities, Social Sciences, Law and Theology at UCPH. Anyone can apply for the course, but if you are not a PhD student at the PhD School, you will be placed on a waiting list for the course until enrollment deadline. After the deadline, available seats will be allocated to students on the waiting list.
