PhD scholarship advertisements

A scholarship advertisement is in effect a call for applications for financial support for PhD studies. Students who meet the criteria for the post advertised may submit applications.

Successful applicants are enrolled as PhD students and employed by the Faculty. They work in the relevant department and receive a salary while studying for their PhD.

Project description

A detailed project description must be enclosed with the application. The advertisement stipulates the requirements for the description. However, the PhD School has also drawn up general guidelines for the form and content of project descriptions.

PhD scholarships at the Faculty of Humanities

The PhD school is inviting applications for PhD scholarships at each of the departments mentioned below:

The proposed PhD projects must relate to or enhance a research field at one of these departments. 

The scholarships are fully funded for three years and will begin on 1 September 2021.

PhD position in Philosophy

The Center for Subjectivity Research (CFS), Department of Communication, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Denmark, invites applications for a PhD position in philosophy to be filled by September 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is fully funded for 3 years.

The PhD position is part of a 5-year Advanced Grant that is financed by the European Research Council (ERC) and lead by Professor Dan Zahavi.
