Scholarship announcements at the Faculty of Humanities
A PhD scholarship is usually announced through a call for applications. There are various types of scholarships, some of which are open calls, others have a specified topic and objective.
Successful applicants will be enrolled in the PhD School in the Humanities on a 3-year PhD programme. At the same time, they will be employed either by the relevant department in the Faculty of Humanities, or by an external, private, or public research institution.
All current calls for applications for PhD positions at the University of Copenhagen are announced at the UCPH Job portal.
Open PhD scholarships by the departments
The deadline for applying to the department's 2024 Open PhD Scholarships has now closed.
The next call is expected to be in December 2024/January 2025.
PhD scholarships with specific topics and objectives
Calls for applications for PhD scholarships within a specific research area or with a specified topic or objective, are often part of a larger, collective research project or research group. They are announced throughout the year.

Collaborative PhD scholarships within specific research areas
